This has got to be one of my all time favourites of racing games.
I have played the GT titles ever since the original Playstation, loving every moment of it.
Although in my Motorstorm Pacific Rift review I was talking about freedom on the tracks, the GT titles have always been thrilling to play on the track, with their best title so far, still yet to come.
Gran Turismo titles are purely for car lovers who want to shred their tires across the track, where as Motorstorm is more of a less civilised game, being more Rebelious!
Actually now I come to think of it, they are both Ps3 exclusives and are the very best of both types of Racing games you can buy.
GT5 - Prologue
The prologue for this game was outstanding.
Graphics have been a main focus point on the game, with the game supporting 1080p graphics!
Another special feature they have introduced into the prologue it Gran Turismo TV!
If you do not know about this, it is a dedicated channel especially for the game showing the latest new and content from the motoring world. This includes the well-known Top Gear, with over 40 episodes to choose from.
When changing settings, there are two main options which drastically change how you race in the game. There is the usual option of driving as a standard user, or the other option..... Professional which is only for true GT drivers. It brings unlimited realism to the way in which the car handles and reacts to every touch of the wheel or pedal you make.
Racing online I found is just as hard as racing offline, with the AI being still as much as a competitor then some one from the online racing.
Or if you feel like it, you can race with both at the same time, within the same race!
Online can hold up to 16players within each race, so you are sure not to be left behind, whether your a beginner or a Pro!
GT5 the actual game will be released later this year, and will be a definite buy for me, as with all of them.
At E3 they also mention the game will be released onto the PsP and their new console Psp Go, created a whole new experience and level for the title.
Hmmm im not sure of release dates though...
